  1. I'm gay and I think that Chick Fil A being strong with what they believe in is awesome. I may not agree with it, but who cares - it's their money that they're using from their privately owned company to do so. Instead of complaining about this one company out of many that donated money to certain causes, you could be looking for ways to support your cause. You're for gay rights? Awesome - go donate money! Chick Fil A happens to be against it, so they donate money also. I don't see Chick Fil A banning gay people all because they have different beliefs. Do you? Nope! I eat there and they haven't complained about me for being gay! I'm sure they love my business just the same as a straight persons. So relax, not everybody will always have the same beliefs as everybody else, it's called life. People believe in different things. That's what makes life fun and worth living.

  2. Of course, you eating there, even though they are not respectful towards sexual orientation, is something that is on you. I am not gay and I do donate a good time of my money and time to causes I believe in, but I would never ever eat there because I truly believe that all Americans should be treated equal. I truly believe all Americans should have the right to marry each other. We need bold politicians that are willing to stand up for that. I'm tired of Americans framing this issue as just any other...it isn't. I am surprised that if you are gay, that you wouldn't have a similar opinion. Do you feel that the Government should allow you to get married? If so, should it be done on the State level or on the Federal level?

  3. I think that you and other well-intentioned people are seeing this as a gay rights issue when it's a free speech issue. If you're going to not visit a restaurant, store, company because their personal opinions don't line up with yours, you're going to find yourself at home a lot! Of course I want my rights recognized, but that's a different fight. This guy said how he felt about a certain topic – who cares? There's been no discrimination of either employees or customers, and he has committed no hate crimes. He's entitled to his view on any topic just like I'm entitled to mine. The moment we don't respect free speech is the moment we start to decline as a nation.

  4. This is Adams older, conservative brother, Jeremy with my 2 cents:

Emily is exactly right and she commented on everything I was going to say regarding the Chick-Fil-A situation. Excellent, well thought-out posts!

I'm pressed for time, so that's it for now. Peace out!

  5. Adam, do you have a religious affiliation? If so, what is it? Do you believe in the Bible and that the only way to heaven is by believing in Jesus? Just curious as to your belief system, if any. Thanks.
